Any Requests?

I've made a few things that I didn't blog about.  I made a Devil's Food Cake, in which I used some of my black walnuts.  I ground them up and added them to the flour and into a chocolate ganache that went in between layers.  There were some other dishes that I can't quite recall (which I why I blog about them!)

I was thinking of making a steak sauce from scratch, maybe using dates or figs in place of the raisins that is in A1.  I have tons of squash left, which might go into some ravioli, and I'm still thinking of Pillsbury Bake-Off ideas.

But, I defer to my small but loyal following for ideas.  Anything out there that you wish me to try?  Don't be shy.

You're not giving up on the sour dough, are you? I was hoping you'd pick the ball back up and keep running. Also, wish you had posted about the cake. We cracked our black walnuts about two weeks ago (what a work-out) and I'm going to do a cake as well.

I am not giving up, but I'm going to wait until it warms up a bit!

The cake...I took no photos at all.  I should have.  I got the cake recipe from an old Good Housekeeping series of cookbooks.   Inside the cake (Thanks to Bon Appetit's december issue) went a Dark Chocolate Ganache and a White Chocolate Cream.  They had a recipe for Peppermint frosting, but I substituted the pepperming extract with some of my vanilla extract.  The frosting was amazingly cool.  It was like marshmallow cream, with a shiny gloss to it!
