Beef Stew day
Very good stew, but some notes to take on this.
Trying to use up our veggies, I decided to throw lots of stuff into the slow-cooker. Not shown are 2 potatoes.

Stew Beef
1 1/2 cups Beef Stock (yea Wegmans!)
Carrots
1 Onion
Leeks
1 Pepper
Turnips
Dinosaur Kale
2 Potatoes
1/2 cup flour
salt, pepper, paprika, and a bay leaf. Slow cooked on low for about 10 hours.
Notes are to add the pepper and the leeks midway or later after cooking. The leeks were completely melted to oblivion, and the pepper was hard to spot. On the plus side, the Dinosaur Kale definitely held it's own, as did the turnips. Mushy, but still holding their shape.
What follows is about the best photo of a brown mass of stew that I could get.
